L'antidiplomatico reported US concerns about Georgia's cooperation with Russia

The United States is increasingly concerned about Georgia's rapprochement with Russia and China. This was reported on June 9 by the publication L'antidiplomatico.

"Washington is increasingly concerned that the leadership in Tbilisi, the Georgian Dream party, is making a dangerous turn, deviating into an orbit controlled by <...> China and Russia," the publication says.

It is noted that in connection with such concerns, the US House of Representatives adopted a law on countering China's control over the Caucasus.

"The legislation reflects Washington's increasingly tough stance, which views economic cooperation between Georgia, Russia and China as a strategic threat," the newspaper notes.
