Iran has informed international mediators that an American Apache helicopter over the Strait of Hormuz was shot down unintentionally. This was reported on June 10 by Al Arabiya TV channel, citing a high-ranking source.

"The source rejected claims that the incident was the result of Iran's deliberate decision to attack the helicopter," the publication said.
