The State Duma approved fines for the illegal sale of railway tickets

The State Duma has adopted a bill on administrative responsibility for the illegal sale of electronic tickets for long-distance trains. The relevant document was published on the Internet portal of the legislative support system on June 9.

"Illegal actions of resellers violate the rights of bona fide users of railway transport services and cause them material damage in terms of additional costs for the purchase of travel documents (tickets) (compared to the cost of travel documents (tickets) sold by the carrier)," the explanatory note says.
