The Sysert district Court found Viktor Borozdin, a previously convicted resident of Serov, guilty of murdering a married couple in Aramil on the night of September 27, 1999. This was reported on June 9 in the Telegram channel of the court.

"The court found Viktor Borozdin guilty of murdering two people. According to the totality of the crimes, he was sentenced to 19 years and 4 months in a high—security penal colony," the publication says.

The crime occurred in the courtyard of a private house on Chapaev Street on the grounds of personal hostility. Borozdin and his accomplice (the case against him has been separated into a separate proceeding) came to their friends. The owner of the house let them into the courtyard, after which Borozdin shot him with a Makarov pistol. His wife came out to the noise and was also killed. At that time, their nine-year-old daughter was in the house, who hid and survived.

The crime was solved thanks to ballistic and fingerprint examinations. The footprints matched the evidence in another criminal case.

In court, Borozdin pleaded not guilty and referred to an alibi, but it was not confirmed. The verdict has not yet entered into force.

On June 9, the press service of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Novosibirsk region reported that parents strangled their 45-year-old son because of his "immoral behavior." The investigators found that the crime was preceded by a long-term hostile relationship within the family, related to the immoral behavior of the man.
