A unified judicial practice will appear within the framework of the Union State of Russia and Belarus. This was announced on June 9 by Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov at a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

"Tomorrow, for the first time in the history of our countries, a memorandum of understanding and cooperation between the supreme courts of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus will be signed, which will create a new practice in our work, give additional impetus, including unifying judicial approaches of the supreme courts, in order to ensure justice... It was quick, fair and effective," he said.

During the meeting, Krasnov noted that cooperation between Russia and Belarus is of a strategic nature and extends, among other things, to the judicial sphere. According to him, together with Chairman of the Supreme Court of Belarus Andrei Shved, it was decided to expand cooperation between the judicial systems of the two countries.

"On Belarusian soil, we feel not even at home, but at home. <...> Our fraternal peoples are connected by a common culture, common cultural values, and therefore <...>.. Relations are developing in all directions at the moment," Krasnov stressed.

The head of the Russian court stressed that despite the similarity of the legal systems, Moscow and Minsk have opportunities to share their experience. In particular, we are talking about the digitalization of legal proceedings and the introduction of modern technologies into the work of courts. Lukashenko, in turn, expressed Belarus' interest in studying Russian experience in this area.

"Most of all, I do not tolerate this paperwork in the courts. <...> Therefore, we would very much like you to take us as a "trailer" and we will follow you in terms of introducing high technologies into the activities of the courts throughout the vertical. Anyway, we're ready. Russia has a huge experience, great Russia, it is not a stranger to us," the Belarusian leader assured.

He also noted the high level of cooperation between the departments of the two countries and expressed readiness for further development of judicial cooperation.

At a meeting of the Joint Board of the Prosecutor General's Offices of the two countries in Mogilev on May 22, Russian Prosecutor General Alexander Gutsan and his Belarusian counterpart Dmitry Gora identified specific tasks for solving problems in the environmental sphere. According to him, the participants discussed issues of environmental safety of the Union State and developed coordinated approaches to solving common environmental problems.
