St. Petersburg plans to abolish the transport tax for electric cars by 2030
In St. Petersburg, it is planned to abolish the transport tax for cars with electric motors and cars using natural gas as fuel by 2030. The relevant bill was adopted on June 9 by the legislative Assembly of the city in the first reading.
"The deputies adopted in the first reading the governor's initiative on tax incentives for vehicles powered by electric motors and gas—powered fuel," the Telegram channel of the city parliament says.
The initiative, proposed by the governor, provides tax incentives for environmentally friendly transport. It is noted that the measure will not apply to expensive vehicles.
