An exam on first aid in case of an accident may appear in driving schools.
The government is considering the introduction of mandatory first aid skills testing for victims of road accidents while studying at driving schools. This was reported on June 9 by the TASS news agency with reference to a government document.
Among the measures to improve the quality of driver training, it is planned to introduce uniform requirements for testing the knowledge and skills of first aid based on the results of the development of programs within the framework of the qualification exam.
The government will also consider the issue of mandatory video registration of the exam process. The task has been set by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the regional authorities. The report should be submitted to the government in 2027.
Earlier, on May 28, an order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation came into force, providing for the creation of a rating of the effectiveness of driving schools in terms of accidents and success in exams. The document approving the list of indicators and criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of such organizations has been published on the portal pravo.gov.ru . It is assumed that the rating, which will be published in the public domain, will become a guideline for people when choosing an educational institution.
