Air defense forces shot down eight drones over Sevastopol

The Air Defense Forces destroyed eight unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in various areas of Sevastopol. This was announced on June 9 by the governor of the city Mikhail Razvozhaev.

According to the head of the region, an air alert was announced in Sevastopol at 10:32 Moscow time. Earlier, he informed about two downed air targets.

"In Sevastopol, the military continues to repel the attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, air defense and mobile firing groups are working. Eight UAVs have already been shot down in the area of the North Side, Victory Park and Cape Fiolent," the governor said in a message on the Maks messenger.

Razvozhaev urged residents to leave open spaces and stay in safe places until the air defense systems are completed. He also noted that the military uses various means of destruction, including small arms, to destroy drones.

Razvozhaev reported on June 7 that air defense systems had destroyed two UAV aircraft in the sky over Sevastopol. According to the governor, drones were destroyed in the Leninsky and Balaklavsky districts.
