Two adults and 27 children of the staff became infected with norovirus in a unit of a children's health camp in the Zelenograd district of the Kaliningrad region. This was announced on June 8 by the regional prosecutor's office.

"In the children's summer health camp <...> in the village of Lesnoy, Zelenograd district, cases of pupils seeking medical help with symptoms of an infectious disease have been recorded," the department's Telegram channel reported.

The Rospotrebnadzor Department is conducting an epidemiological investigation. The specialists took samples of drinking water, flushes from facilities, food samples and biological material from the staff of the food department. Disinfection was carried out to localize the source of infection. Taking into account the revealed violations, it was decided to end the shift ahead of schedule.

On May 15, 33 pupils of the Krasnoyarsk Cadet Corps named after A. I. Lebedev were found to have suspected acute intestinal infection. The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers").
