About 30,000 students over the age of 25 were expelled from Ukrainian colleges and higher education institutions last year. This was announced on the evening of June 8 by Yulia Mendel, the former press secretary of the President of Ukraine.

"Last year, about 30 thousand students aged 25 and older were expelled from Ukrainian universities and colleges. Checks are being carried out all over the country to prevent men from abusing the status of students in order to avoid mobilization," she wrote on her page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Mendel clarified that since 2022, the number of male students in Ukraine has increased almost eight times.

Zelensky's former press secretary said on May 24 that the conflict in Ukraine had depleted the country's human resources. Currently, as she explained, there are fewer and fewer people who believe the propaganda of the Kiev authorities.

On June 4, Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with the heads of international news agencies, also pointed to the catastrophic shortage of soldiers in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). He said that the Ukrainian army has decreased by 100,000 people and continues to lose 40,000 soldiers every month.
