It is planned to obtain permission for the use of two glioblastoma vaccines in 2026. This was announced on June 9 by Veronika Skvortsova, head of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency.

"In 2026, I hope that we will receive permission to use an oncovaccine against glioblastoma," she said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to her, the first vaccine will be a peptide vaccine and will be called Gliopept, and at the end of the year the agency expects to receive permission for an mRNA vaccine against glioblastoma, Gliorna.

On April 14, Candidate of Medical Sciences, oncologist Evgeny Cheremushkin spoke about the unexpected symptoms of glioblastoma. He noted that glioblastoma is one of the most aggressive forms of cancer, most often it is detected by chance. According to him, the disease can be suspected by symptoms such as a sharp deterioration in vision, hearing and sense of smell, headaches and loss of coordination.
