The regions with the fastest wage growth in March have become known

In March, salaries in the Kaluga and Magadan regions, as well as in the Khabarovsk Territory, increased the most in Russia. This was reported on June 9 by RIA Novosti with reference to statistics.

It is specified that the Kaluga Region has become the leader in growth — salaries have increased by 31% in annual terms. In the Khabarovsk Territory, they rose by 26%, and in the Magadan Region — by 23%.

The five regions with the most significant growth also included the Altai Republic, Krasnodar Territory, Novgorod and Moscow regions. In addition, the average salary in Russia in March increased by 14.4% and reached almost 113 thousand rubles.

Mikhail Tuzov, Director of Analytics at Adviros HR company, reported on June 7 that in 2026 the average nominal accrued salary in the country exceeded 100 thousand rubles, but less than a third of the population receives income above this mark. According to him, the official average salary is the arithmetic mean of all employee benefits before taxes.
