Russian juniors have been granted the right to compete under the national flag and anthem in 24 Olympic sports. This statement was made on June 9 by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

"Today, our juniors can compete on an equal basis — with a flag, anthem and national symbols — on the world stage in 24 Olympic sports," Chernyshenko told RIA Novosti.
