On the night of June 21-22, 2026, the shortest night of the year is expected in the Northern Hemisphere. At the latitude of Moscow, its duration will be 6 hours and 27 minutes. This was announced on June 9 at the Moscow Planetarium.

"The shortest night will be after the longest daylight on June 21, that is, from June 21 to June 22, 2026. It will last 6 hours and 27 minutes," said an employee of the planetarium in an interview with RIA Novosti.
