Apple announced a 30% Faster App Launch in iOS 27

The new versions of iOS 27 for iPhone and iPadOS 27 for tablets will provide an accelerated launch of applications by about 30%. Updates to Apple's operating systems are expected in the fall. This was announced on June 8 by representatives of the company during the annual WWDC 2026 conference.

As Apple representative Stacy Ford stated during the presentation, the company has optimized memory management, processor utilization and display rendering, TASS reports.

Other performance improvements include 70% faster display of new photos in the user's library, as well as 80% faster file transfer speeds via AirDrop. Apple also confirmed that iOS 27 will support iPhone 11 and newer models.

It is noted that at the conference, the company introduced a new version of the macOS 27 Golden Gate operating system. Updates are scheduled to be released in the fall of 2026.
