Sergunina invited Muscovites and tourists to the Russia Day program
The festive program for Russia Day will be held in all districts of Moscow and will cover almost 300 museums, libraries, parks and other cultural venues, said Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of the capital.
According to her, events are also organized at VDNH, in youth spaces and art pavilions of the Made in Moscow project.
"There are hundreds of events waiting for Muscovites and tourists. The main part of them is scheduled for June 12. We invite you to concerts, exhibitions, workshops, lectures and performances," said Sergunina.
Participants of the Federation of Choral and Vocal Arts will perform at the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve. Here you can hear Russian folk songs, Yakut tunes, traditional music from the Caucasus and other regions. The celebration will culminate with a joint performance by 350 artists on the square near the Grand Palace, where they will perform the Russian national anthem, an excerpt from Mikhail Glinka's opera Ivan Susanin, Katyusha and The Evening Bell.
On June 12, literary and musical evenings will be held at the venues of the Teatralny Boulevard festival. Songs inspired by the poems of Russian poets will be performed on Chistoprudny Boulevard, and a concert will be held in the park near the Polytechnic Museum with the participation of artists from the Gorky Moscow Art Theater and the Moscow Provincial Theater. An orchestra will perform in Fili Park as part of the special project of the Spasskaya Tower Festival, and an exhibition of national costumes, master classes, quizzes and sports competitions will be prepared in Tagansky Park.
VDNKH hosts workshops, cartoon screenings, and themed guided tours dedicated to the history of the country and the achievements of Russian cosmonautics.
From June 12 to June 14, events dedicated to Russia Day will also be held at the Moskino Film Park. Guests will enjoy dance flash mobs, DJ sets and workshops on creating brooches and customizing clothes with folk ornaments.
In addition, festive events will be held in the spaces of the Moscow Youth project, at the Moscow Helps venues and in the Made in Moscow art pavilions, where products of the capital's brands released specifically for Russia Day will be presented.
