A new sports complex "Resource" will be built in the Vostochny district in Moscow

A new sports complex "Resource" with an area of almost 4 thousand square meters will appear in the east of Moscow. On Monday, June 8, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, announced this.

According to him, the facility will be built on 9 May Street in the Vostochny district. Laminated glass was chosen for the facades of the building, and panoramic glazing will fill the interior spaces with natural light. The main entrance will be decorated with a decorative aluminum portal, and contour lighting will be provided along the upper perimeter of the facade.

The sports complex will house two swimming pools — a 25-meter pool for adults and a 10-meter pool for children. A general physical training hall will also be equipped here, where it will be possible to engage in wrestling, group training and choreography, the Moscow City News agency reports.

There will be car and bicycle parking next to the building, as well as charging stations for electric vehicles.

Sobyanin noted that construction is planned to begin this year. According to him, since 2011, 19 sports facilities have been put into operation in the Eastern Administrative District, another one is under construction, writes Moscow 24.
