About 1.5 thousand road sections will be renovated in the Moscow region in 2026.

About 1.5 sections of roads will be put in order in the Moscow Region in 2026. The implementation of the repair program and maintenance of the road network were discussed at the weekly meeting of Governor Andrey Vorobyov.

According to the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya, with reference to the press service of the governor and the regional government, this year the program will be larger in volume: about 1.1 thousand km will simply be repaired, and almost 140 km will be overhauled. A significant share of the work will be carried out in Kolomna, Volokolamsk, Yegoryevsk, Stupino, Lukhovitsy and other territories.

Special attention will be paid to the central streets. The modernization will affect not only the roadway, but also sidewalks, bus shelters and other elements. The works will cover 26 streets.

The program has been implemented in the municipal network for 1.5 months. During this time, the work was completed by 36%. The task of the road services is to complete the current road repairs by August 1, and the major ones by September 1.

Federal roads are also being updated. It is planned to repair 13 facilities with a total length of more than 200 km. This year, 31 facilities will be renovated on regional roads, including 20 bridges, as well as more than 200 sections on municipal roads.

Earlier it was reported that more than 90 sections of local roads and over 20 bridges leading to tourist sites such as parks, beaches, museums, churches, manors and kremlins will be put in order in the Moscow region. This is reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Transport. According to the head of the department, Marat Sibatulin, by annually updating the road infrastructure near the sights of the Moscow region, the authorities create a double benefit.
