Daniil Medvedev called Andreeva's performance at Roland Garros a "glimpse"
Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev congratulated compatriot Mirra Andreeva on winning the French Open (Roland Garros) and winning her debut Grand Slam title, calling the performance of the athlete "amazing."
"Hello, Mirra! Congratulations on your first Helmet, this is just the beginning! The semifinals and finals were just a glimpse," the Telegram channel "More!" quotes him as saying.
Medvedev noted that Andreeva did not leave a single chance to her rivals and called the tennis player "cool."
On June 6, Andreeva defeated Polish tennis player Majukhvalinskaya in the final of Roland Garros and won a Grand Slam tournament for the first time. She became the third youngest Grand Slam champion in the 21st century. The tennis player was congratulated by Mikhail Degtyarev, Chairman of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC), Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation, and former world number one Maria Sharapova. Later, Andreeva took first place in the updated version of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) championship race.
