Iran claims serious damage to Israel after latest strikes
The Iranian military inflicted serious damage on Israel during a new wave of attacks on important facilities. This was stated on June 8 by the official representative of the central headquarters of the Iranian military command "Khatam al-Anbiya" Ebrahim Zolfagari.
"In a new wave of operations against important and sensitive targets in the occupied territories, the enemy has received heavy, targeted, smart and destructive strikes," the Fars news agency quoted him as saying on its Telegram channel.
A representative of the headquarters also stated that units of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) participated in the operation. According to him, the actions of the Iranian military were a response to the actions of the United States and Israel. In addition, Zolfagari warned that if attacks against Iran continue, the republic's armed forces will act with even greater determination.
On the same day, American leader Donald Trump said that Israel and Iran should immediately stop the exchange of fire. Tehran and Tel Aviv began to exchange blows again the night before. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) fired rockets towards Israel, which, in turn, began attacking military targets in the center and west of Iran.
The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, Abbas Araqchi, in turn, called the IRGC attacks a response to the aggression of Israel, which repeatedly violated the ceasefire regime in relation to Lebanon.
