The drone (UAV) that recently crashed and detonated in the Ogreyevsky district of Moldova is of Ukrainian origin. This was announced on June 8 by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic.

"Judging by the preliminary data, it (the drone. — Ed.), most likely, was of Ukrainian origin," the department's Telegram channel says.

They added that diplomats are constantly negotiating with the Ukrainian authorities about the drone. Nevertheless, the Moldovan Foreign Ministry expressed solidarity with Kiev.

Earlier that day, the Moldovan Ministry of Defense reported that an unidentified UAV had entered the territory of the republic and detonated in the Ogreyevsky district near the town of Lopatna. The drone was detected by the surveillance systems of the national army and cross-border cooperation at 00:20 Moscow time. Experts took the wreckage of the UAV for research.
