The United States will maintain the blockade against Iran until a final peace agreement is reached. This was announced on June 8 by the American President Donald Trump.

"The blockade will remain in force and will remain in full effect until a final agreement is reached," he wrote on the Truth Social network.

At the same time, the American leader noted that Israel and Iran seek an immediate cease-fire. Peace negotiations are still ongoing, the president added.

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, Ismail Bagai, said on the same day that the negotiation process between Iran and the United States was continuing. According to the diplomat, Tehran does not intend to make concessions on the issue of its assets.

On June 4, Trump, during a conversation with reporters at the White House, said that the death of American servicemen in the event of an attack by the Iranian side would be a sufficient reason for a rapid resumption of hostilities. Prior to this, the US president said that there was no need for a ground operation by American troops against Iran.
