11 criminal cases have been opened on the fact of embezzlement during the construction of villas in Bali.

11 criminal cases have been initiated against unidentified persons on the fact of embezzlement during the construction of villas on Bally Island. This became known on June 8 from the documents available to Izvestia.

It is noted that 10 criminal cases were initiated under Part 3 of art. 30, Part 4 of art. 159 of the Criminal Code ("Attempted fraud on an especially large scale"), and one under Part 3 of art. 30, Part 3 of art. 159 of the Criminal Code ("Attempted fraud on a large scale").

According to the documents available to Izvestia, the damage amounted to more than 106 million rubles. Earlier, three more criminal cases were initiated with a total damage of more than 22.7 million rubles.

According to investigative bloggers, real estate developer Sergey Domogatsky, who had previously been in Argentina, returned to Cape Town.

On April 15, the Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region declared blogger Domogatsky bankrupt and introduced a debt restructuring procedure.

In early February, the Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region introduced bankruptcy proceedings against Domogatsky. The blogger is suspected of fraud with the sale of villas on the island of Bali. Earlier, on January 24, it was reported that the court had recovered 49 million rubles from the blogger in favor of the bankrupt company.

The first criminal case on embezzlement during the construction of real estate in Bali was initiated on February 13. As lawyer Alexander Zorin told Izvestia, it was about one of the villas advertised by blogger Alexander Domogatsky.
