- Cardiologist named ways to survive the new moon for weather-dependent people without pressure surges
Doctors question the effect of the new moon on people, but if blood pressure jumps during this period, you should give up coffee, alcohol and high loads, and consult a doctor. Andrey Kondrakhin, a cardiologist and Candidate of medical Sciences, told Izvestia about this.
"The phase of the moon doesn't matter at all to most people. The new moon and full moon have some effect on the body, but they do not cause an increase in blood pressure. It affects people with mental disorders, and people have increased bleeding during this period, so they try not to perform elective surgeries during the new moon," the cardiologist said.
Nevertheless, if high blood pressure is still noted, the cardiologist recommended that you consult a doctor first.
"There is no meteorological dependence as a medical disease. This is a common concept among ordinary people. Such a condition always signals a latent disease and a lack of investigation, that is, a person has some kind of problem that clearly does not manifest itself. And any external change — climate, time zone, weather — provokes pathology, which is popularly referred to as weather dependence. Therefore, all weather—dependent patients should contact specialists to find the root of the problem and treat it already," the expert recommended.
According to the expert, when pressure surges, you should not overload yourself with work — physical and intellectual. The doctor also recommended not to disrupt your emotional background: do not quarrel with anyone, do not swear and do not conflict. In addition, it is worth avoiding the use of coffee, strong drinks and other stimulants.
"Any, say, changes in habits or overloads inevitably affect the body. He needs time to overcome this whole thing. And he's already feeling unwell, and the weather has changed. In this case, there may be just these troubles that require very good attention to themselves," summed up Kondrakhin.
