The hot weather will continue in Moscow and the Moscow region at least until the end of the working week. At the same time, during the daytime, residents of the capital region will be accompanied by short-term local rains, which will not significantly affect the temperature background. On June 8, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, a leading expert at Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia about this.

According to the forecaster, on Tuesday, June 9, at night in Moscow it is expected from +15 to +17 degrees, in the region — from +12 to +17 degrees. During the day, the air in the capital will warm up to +28...+30 degrees, in the Moscow region — up to +25 ...+30 degrees. The wind will remain southwesterly and will be weak.

"Similar weather is forecast for Wednesday. Night temperatures in Moscow will be +15...+17 degrees. In the afternoon, the air will warm up again to +28 ...+30 degrees, in the region — up to +25 ...+30 degrees," Pozdnyakova said.

The weather pattern will not change significantly on Thursday. No precipitation is expected at night, and light short-term rains will occur in some places during the day. The air temperature in Moscow will be +28...+30 degrees, in the Moscow region — up to +31 degrees.

The same weather conditions will continue on the first public holiday, June 12, the forecaster added. At night, the temperature will stay within +14...+19 degrees, during the day the air will warm up to +26 ...+31 degrees. Local intra-mass rains are possible, but they will not be able to significantly reduce the temperature.

In addition, the temperature record may be updated in Moscow on June 10. As Pozdnyakova noted, the maximum air temperature will either approach the record high of +30 degrees, set in 1998, or repeat it, or even exceed it.

Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, said on June 5 that short-term rains were expected in Moscow this week. He admitted that precipitation could cause a slight and short-term drop in temperature in the capital.
