Three-time NBA champion Stacy King has died at the age of 59.
American Stacy King, a three-time National Basketball Association (NBA) champion with the Chicago Bulls, has died at the age of 60. The relevant information was published on June 7 on the official page of the team on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
The cause of death of the athlete is currently not specified. King won the NBA title three years in a row — in 1991, 1992 and 1993. In addition to the Chicago Bulls, he defended the colors of such clubs as the Minnesota Timberwolves, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks within the framework of the association.
His basketball career began in 1989, when Chicago selected him as the sixth overall pick in the draft. Stacy King played professionally for 10 years, ending his playing career in 1999. After retiring from big-time sports, King took up coaching.
In 2001, he became the head of the Rockford Lightning Continental Basketball Association club. Under his leadership, the team successfully spent the 2001/2002 season and reached the final stage of the tournament.
