Rapper Alisher Morgenstern (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) underwent the giyura ceremony and changed his name to Yisrael Yehuda Morgenstern. This was announced on June 7 by the Voice of Israel Telegram channel.

"Morgenstern passed the giyur <...> Yisrael Yehuda (Alisher) passed the Jewish court and joined the people of Israel," the message says.

In the published footage, the rapper was captured surrounded by local residents and was dressed in a traditional headdress, a white shirt and black trousers.

The lawyer of the performer, Ildar Islamov, announced on April 28 that the defense of rapper Alisher Morgenstern decided to appeal his fine of 7 million rubles for violating the law on foreign agents after consulting with the musician.

During the debate on April 16, the state prosecution requested a fine of more than 8 million rubles for Morgenstern. The Moscow court seized Morgenstern's property in the framework of the case of evading the duties of a foreign agent. The lawyer asked to dismiss the petition, since some of the objects do not belong to the rapper, but to another person.

As Morgenstern's lawyer noted on April 16, his property had already been seized earlier, but the deadline had expired, so the prosecutor appealed to the court with a new petition. It states that the musician has a number of real estate properties, including an apartment building and non-residential premises.
