Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting of the Russian Security Council next week and take part in celebrations dedicated to Russia Day. This was reported on June 7 by Pavel Zarubin, a journalist from the Vesti news agency.

It is specified that the schedule of the head of state also includes a meeting with members of the government. The key event of the week will be on June 12, when the Kremlin will traditionally host award ceremonies for outstanding citizens of the country.

Russia Day is celebrated annually on June 12. On this holiday, the President presents medals "Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation" and state prizes in the fields of science and technology, literature and art, as well as for outstanding achievements in humanitarian, human rights and charitable activities.

On June 1, Putin presented state awards to parents with many children as part of a solemn ceremony. The event, held in the Kremlin, was timed to coincide with the International Children's Day. The Russian President presented the families with the Order of Parental Glory and the title of Mother Heroine.
