The Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed the control points of the APU drones
The Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) have destroyed with aerial bombs control points for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and temporary deployment points for units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Dnipropetrovsk region and the Kiev-controlled part of the Kherson region. This was announced on June 7 by the Russian Defense Ministry.
The ministry clarified that the crew of the Su-35s super-maneuverable thrust-vector fighter performed combat duty in the area of a special military operation in the interests of the Yuzhnaya group. The main task of the pilots in a given area was to cover the helicopters of the army aviation.
"The purpose of combat duty in the air was to cover army aviation helicopters in a given area of operations when air strikes were launched against enemy manpower and temporary deployment points of AFU units," the Russian Defense Ministry reports.
The ministry added that tactical aviation specialists take off at any time of the day and under any weather conditions. When performing tasks, pilots use various types of aircraft weapons.
On June 6, the Ministry of Defense reported that soldiers of the separate reconnaissance battalion of the 90th Guards Tank Division of the Center group of forces had successfully captured a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Dnepropetrovsk direction in the area of a special military operation (SVO). It was clarified that a fortified enemy stronghold was identified in the forest belt during reconnaissance using drones.
