A prisoner of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported a shortage of food on the front line

The militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) at the frontlines faced critical shortages of food and water and were forced to starve for 10 days or longer. Daniel Zharkov, an ethnic Sudanese prisoner, told about this on June 7.

"We had a very big problem with food. No water, no food, and logistics in general, roughly speaking, zero. We haven't eaten for 10 days, or even more," he told RIA Novosti.

According to Zharkov, one day the food was dumped during the day, which was unusual, since the early discharges took place at night. After the day's food delivery, the shelling of the neighboring trench began.

"We suspect why — because we can't get everyone out. We have to stay in order for someone to move away. We need to sacrifice someone," he concluded.

On May 19, Russian law enforcement agencies reported that soldiers of the 160th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had been warned before being sent to the Sumy region that none of them would return alive. It was clarified that DNA samples were taken from the Ukrainian militants.

On May 22, the structures added that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, against the background of losses, was transferring the 30th regiment of protection of particularly important state facilities of the National Guard to the Sumy region.
