The political scientist announced the change of power in Armenia after the elections

The opposition parties in Armenia will have more votes than the ruling elite, which understands this, and therefore uses repression. This opinion was shared by political analyst Yervand Bozoyan in a conversation with Izvestia on June 6.

"I think the ruling party is already losing, they all know this, so all these repressions that are taking place against opposition parties are an understandable process. I think that this will not stop the process that is taking place in Armenia. In other words, the majority of the population is already tired of these appeals, which means that the ruling party has ideas," the political scientist believes.

The expert noted that following the parliamentary elections, at least four parties will be held — the ruling and three opposition parties, the latter including Strong Armenia, Alliance Armenia and Prosperous Armenia. All of them have roughly similar positions and ideas, and therefore, according to the expert's forecast, they will create a large coalition that will take power. Bozoyan stated that in this scenario, the government in Armenia will change.

"There will be many such problems, of course, because, generally speaking, administrative resources play a very important and important role in Armenia. <...> That is, in fact, although the authorities use administrative resources, they still do not have enough resources to be able to have a majority [of seats] in parliament.", — concluded the political scientist.

Alexey Poltoranin, a correspondent for Izvestia, said on June 6 that the political situation in Armenia had worsened amid consideration of the withdrawal of the opposition Free Armenia Party from the elections. The corresponding request was sent to the Central Election Commission (CEC) by representatives of the pro-Western political bloc Republika. The opponents' appeal followed open threats from Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan against the leaders of the opposition forces.

On the same day, Poltoranin spoke about the aggravation of the internal political situation on the day of silence before the parliamentary elections in Armenia. The election campaign turned out to be extremely scandalous, and Pashinyan, who promotes a course towards integration into the European Union instead of the Eurasian partnership, turned out to be at the center of intrigue.

Dmitry Solonnikov, director of the Institute of Modern State Development, told Izvestia on June 6 that Pashinyan understands that if he loses the election, criminal proceedings will begin against him in Armenia. According to him, the current government in the country will use all available resources to maintain its positions in the upcoming elections.
