According to the author, the novel takes place in two parallel timelines — in 1937 and 1977. The plot revolves around a stolen Maya artifact, which becomes a dangerous tool at the center of intrigue. Shishkin noted that the book reveals the mystery of a mysterious object found among the treasures of an ancient civilization.
