Cardiologist revealed the main misconception of Russians about arrhythmia
Most Russians underestimate the danger of arrhythmia. This was announced on June 6 by Evgeny Kokin, Candidate of Medical Sciences, cardiologist at JSC "Medicine".
"Only three out of ten Russians surveyed call arrhythmia a direct threat to life. The danger is real — rhythm disturbances are associated with almost four out of ten deaths from stroke and about three out of ten cases of heart attack, as it dramatically increases the load on the heart and brain," he said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .
In addition, the cardiologist said that according to the Ministry of Health, about 2.3 million people in Russia are living with a diagnosis of atrial fibrillation. According to him, most of the patients do not realize the real danger of this disease.
The doctor also added that arrhythmia in Russia annually causes more than 300 thousand deaths. At the same time, almost a third of them are people between the ages of 30 and 64.

She explained what rules must be followed to preserve health. The doctor recommended not to appear outside at the peak of solar activity from 12 to 16 o'clock and not to be in direct sunlight for more than 15-20 minutes in a row.
