In the near future, the State Duma plans to discuss a plan for legislative support for the execution of the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, which were announced during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026). This was announced on June 6 by Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.

"At the next meeting of the State Duma Council, we will discuss a plan for legislative enforcement of our president's instructions," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The list of priority topics for discussion includes legislative consolidation of internship mechanisms aimed at gaining career experience for young people. The deputies will also consider the regulation of value added tax (VAT) and the definition of its boundaries. The agenda includes discussions on the introduction of new preferential conditions for entrepreneurs working in the manufacturing sectors of the economy and other topics.

Putin's speech at the SPIEF 2026 plenary session on June 5 lasted 45 minutes and became one of the longest in the history of the forum. A similar timing of the Russian president's speech was recorded five years ago. At the same time, for several years in a row, the president's policy statements at the forum set records for duration.

At the same time, Putin called for a seamless transition of business to a broader level. According to the Russian leader, when a business grows and develops, organizational difficulties and additional financial costs arise. However, not every entrepreneur is ready to handle them.
