Russia is the guarantor of global energy security, and it cannot be excluded from global supply chains, said Igor Sechin, executive secretary of the Presidential Commission on the Development Strategy of the fuel and Energy complex and Environmental Safety, head of Rosneft.

Speaking at the Energy Panel of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Sechin noted that Russia has the world's largest oil and gas reserves — about 60 billion tons of oil equivalent, which accounts for 14% of world reserves. The country ranks fifth in the world in terms of coal reserves.

According to Sechin, against the background of current events in the global oil industry, Russia's economic partnership with China and India guarantees stable supplies to both countries.

"Russian oil supplies bring tangible economic benefits to our partners. Since April 2022, its combined value for China and India has exceeded $40 billion," Sechin stressed.
