The Russian national football team beat the Burkina Faso team
The Russian national football team scored a major victory over the national team of Burkina Faso in a friendly match. The match took place in Volgograd in the presence of 41,058 spectators and ended with a score of 3:0 in favor of the home team.
Lechi Sadulaev opened the scoring in the 14th minute. Six minutes later, the second goal was scored by team captain Alexei Miranchuk, who received a pass from his brother Anton. Ilya Vakhania set the final score in the 73rd minute. The Burkina Faso team was outnumbered from the 42nd minute: Mohamed Ouedraogo received a direct red card and was sent off the field.
Amir Ibragimov, an 18-year-old midfielder of the English club Manchester United, made his debut for the national team in this match. Coming on as a substitute in the 60th minute, he became the third youngest debutant in the history of the Russian national team.
Alexey Miranchuk led the team onto the field with the captain's armband, which depicted the monument "Motherland calls!", the inscription "The Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia" and the number 2026. Four goalkeepers were entrusted with goalkeeping positions: Denis Adamov from Zenit, Anton Mitryushkin (Lokomotiv), Stanislav Agkatsev (Krasnodar) and Alexander Maksimenko (Spartak).
