Earlier in the day, the Russian leader, speaking at the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026), appealed to soldiers, sailors, petty officers, midshipmen, officers, admirals and generals with an appeal: "Work, brothers!".
"We are working," the Ministry of Defense replied, the comment was published on the department's channel in the Maks messenger.
On May 21, Putin noted that the participants in the special military operation (SVO) protect not only the borders of the country, but also the national interests of the state. He said that the awarded servicemen had shown courage and dedication in carrying out combat missions.
