Zverev reached the final of Roland Garros after defeating Menshik
German tennis player Alexander Zverev defeated Czech Jakub Menshik in the semi-final match of the French Open (Roland Garros) on June 5.
The meeting ended with a score 7:5, 6:2, 3:6, 6:3 in favor of Zverev, who was the second seed. Menshik occupied the 26th seeding position. The match lasted just over three hours.
The German tennis player is 29 years old, and this is the fourth Grand Slam final in his career. Earlier in 2024, Zverev lost in the decisive match of Roland Garros to Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz. He is a two-time winner of the final ATP singles tournament, winner of 24 ATP titles, as well as the 2020 Olympic champion.
Russian Diana Schneider failed to reach the final of Roland Garros on June 4, losing in the semifinal match to Polish Maya Khvalinskaya. The meeting was held in Paris and ended with a score 7:6 (7:4), 6:4 in favor of Khvalinskaya.
