Rosneft has agreed on personnel training with Ufa Technical University and Tsinghua University

At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Rosneft signed a trilateral agreement on the development of cooperation in the field of personnel training with Tsinghua University and Ufa State Petroleum Technical University (USSTU). The document was signed by Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin, UGNTU Rector Oleg Baulin and Tsinghua University Rector Li Lumin.

The agreement provides for the training of employees of the oil company in joint educational programs of universities. Training will be conducted in such areas as digitalization, artificial intelligence and new technologies in the oil and gas industry, management of scientific, technical and innovative activities, localization of production and climate projects.

Rosneft noted that the document is of particular strategic importance in the years 2026-2027, which were declared by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping as cross-Years of cooperation in the field of education. "Its implementation will contribute to the development of a long—term mutually beneficial partnership between Rosneft, Tsinghua University and UGNTU, as well as providing the company and the oil industry with qualified personnel," the statement said.

Rosneft has been cooperating with these educational institutions for several years. Joint professional development, professional retraining, and corporate MBA programs for managers and specialists of the company are being implemented with Tsinghua University. Rosneft cooperates with UGNTU in the field of training qualified personnel, in scientific and innovative fields. The Rosneft - UGNTU Scientific and Educational Center has been established at the university on the basis of the Mining and Petroleum Faculty.
