Since 2021, Moscow has approved 178 area planning projects for the construction and reconstruction of the road network. Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Urban Planning and Construction, announced this at the XXIX St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
According to him, the projects envisage the creation and modernization of more than 500 km of roads. They are aimed at improving the transport connectivity of the districts, providing access to new residential areas and social facilities, as well as developing alternative routes.
One of the projects approved this year was the section of roads from Novozavodskaya Street and Beregovaya Passage to the Projected Passage No. 1165. It will provide a direct connection to the territory of the Filyovskaya floodplain and the sail bridge under construction, writes NSN.
The Department of Urban Planning Policy reported that 46 planning projects were approved last year instead of 25 planned ones, the website clarifies. kp.ru . They provide for the modernization of about 186 km of roads. Since the beginning of 2026, the authorities have approved eight more projects for the development of more than six kilometers of the road network.
Also on this day, Yefimov said that since the beginning of 2026, over 2 million square meters of residential real estate have been built in the capital. The largest number of new houses appeared in the Southern Administrative District and the Southern Administrative District — 23 each. 19 new buildings have been built in the TiNAO, 11 in the SVAO, the Moscow City News Agency reports.
