SKA Hockey Club announces acquisition of SKA Arena
The SKA Hockey Club from St. Petersburg has announced the purchase of the SKA Arena, which will host home matches of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). This was announced on June 5 by the press service of HC.
"SKA Hockey Club <...> for the first time in 80 years, the club has acquired its own house — modern, the most spacious in the world, built using the most advanced technologies by outstanding Russian architects and designers," the SKA Telegram channel says.
It is noted that SKA Hockey Club LLC has acquired 100% of the authorized capital of SKA Arena LLC.
Striker Vasily Atanasov became a SKA St. Petersburg player as a result of an exchange with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod. Defender Arseniy Varlakov moved to the St. Petersburg club with the 23-year-old striker. The Nizhny Novgorod team was joined by striker Matvey Polyakov, and Torpedo also received monetary compensation.
