Putin announced the relocation of large state-owned companies from Moscow to the regions

Large Russian state-owned companies will move from Moscow to the regions. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin on June 5 during the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026).

"Let me remind you that we have agreed to relocate large state—owned companies and corporations from Moscow to the regions in order to relieve the burden on the capital and give an impetus to business development in the constituent entities of the federation, strengthen the revenue side of their budgets, and create new jobs," Putin said.
