Russian President Vladimir Putin has chosen the right political course for his country and must continue on the path he is currently following. This was announced on June 5 by American researcher and entrepreneur Errol Musk to Izvestia on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026).

"The Russian president must continue to follow the path he is currently following: to be open and friendly. Firm, but at the same time as friendly as possible and offering the world as much friendship as possible," the businessman said.

The father of billionaire and founder of SpaceX, Elon Musk, noted that the world should know more about the events in Ukraine and the exact background of the conflict. He added that last year he met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who said that before the outbreak of the armed conflict, Ukrainians bombed people in Donbass.

"Before the start of the <military operation>, Russia had no choice. Such things should be more widely known. As for Russia, keep the same image: decent, correct, kind, attentive. That's how I see it," Musk concluded.
