- Pasechnik announced the appearance of 600 thousand square meters of housing in the LPR by 2030.
In the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR), 600,000 square meters of housing are planned to be commissioned in 2030, and 73 construction sites have already been commissioned in the region. This was announced on June 5 by the head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, in the Izvestia studio at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026).
He said that over the period 2023-2025, more than 150 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned. Prior to this, almost no construction was carried out, and numerous shortcomings were recorded during the commissioning of the facilities, which stretched the process for years.
"I think our achievement is that we have finally moved on from the dead end and construction has begun. <...> For the period 2023-2025 <...> we were restoring unfinished buildings, that is, we studied and gained experience in the legal field of the Russian Federation," said Pasechnik.
On February 11, the government of the Russian Federation will allocate an additional 2 billion rubles for the housing insurance program in new regions of Russia. It is specified that the work on providing citizens with housing in the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR), Zaporizhia and Kherson regions is carried out systematically, with the participation of specialists and companies from all over the country.
