The Belgian Euroclear Bank is asking the Moscow Arbitration Court to suspend the enforcement by bailiffs of a decision to recover about 200 billion euros in damages from it in favor of the Central Bank of Russia. This became known on June 5 from the materials of the court.

The Belgian bank's request to suspend enforcement proceedings was submitted to the court on June 4, RIA Novosti reports.

At the same time, Euroclear submitted an application for clarification of the provisions of the executive document, the method and procedure for its execution. The defendant's appeals have not yet been considered.

The Central Bank's lawsuit against Euroclear for €200 billion (about 18.2 trillion rubles) He was satisfied by the court on May 15. Later, on May 26, the Moscow Arbitration Court issued an immediate enforcement order. Four days later, it became known that the defendant filed an appeal against this verdict, which the plaintiffs considered fair.
