Pushilin pointed out that Kiev is conducting another stage of terror against civilians
Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have begun to carry out the next stage of crimes against civilians. Denis Pushilin, the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), announced this on June 5 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026) in the Izvestia studio.
"We see that the enemy has shifted its focus, and this is such a period right now. This is not the first such period, but I will say this — this is the next stage of terror against civilian targets and the civilian population," he said.
The Ukrainian military, as Pushilin added, intentionally and deliberately attack those objects that are not military. According to him, such "targets" include highways of federal, regional and municipal significance. At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces use weapons equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, which are manufactured in the West and have machine vision.
"Of course, we must increase the degree and level of protection of both roads and critical infrastructure facilities. We are engaged in this on an ongoing basis, including the Ministry of Defense [of Russia]. Now the task is to strengthen all these measures," the head of the DPR added.
Pushilin stressed that a unit called "BARS Donetsk" (BARS DNR) is being formed for this purpose. It is assumed that it will specialize in the protection of energy facilities, as well as critical and utility infrastructure facilities. The new association will also protect the highways, for which the required technological solutions are being worked out in real time.
"The enemy, we see [shows] another of his treachery. The latest manifestations, acts of terror, terrorist attacks, you can say that, which are now supported by a number of Western countries, this is not even tacit consent, this is active support," he concluded.
Two days earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants committed another terrorist act against the civilian population of the DPR. Their impact on a passenger bus in Yenakiyevo killed seven people and injured 11 others. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commenting on this tragedy, said that Kiev is conducting the same information campaigns as representatives of the terrorist group "Islamic State" (IG, banned in Russia).
On June 3, at the Izvestia studio as part of SPIEF 2026, she again drew attention to the fact that the West deliberately does not talk about the terrorist attacks that Kiev is committing. This, according to the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, indicates the corresponding ideology of Europe. Then she added that the Kiev regime deliberately preys on people, and its obvious evil is not condemned by any of the Western leaders.
