- The Russian Foreign Ministry accused the Kiev regime of attacks on cargo ships in the Sea of Azov
The Kiev regime is behind the drone attacks on cargo ships in the Sea of Azov, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin pointed out on June 5 on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF–2026).
"We know very well who is using drones, air and sea, to attack peaceful civilian vessels in the waters of the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. This is a well—known country, or rather the regime that usurped power in this country, a Nazi regime, dangerous, dangerous for everyone," TASS quoted him as saying.
The diplomat added that waves of terror, as well as illegal arms shipments, emanate from the current Ukrainian government. He also expressed his condolences to the families and friends of the victims.
Earlier in the day, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported that two cargo ships en route from Turkey to Rostov-on-Don were attacked by drones in the Sea of Azov, killing five Azerbaijani sailors. It is specified that in addition to the dead, three Azerbaijani citizens were injured and were hospitalized.
