Bank ROSSIYA and St. Petersburg signed an agreement in the field of heat supply
The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between Bank ROSSIYA and the Government of St. Petersburg took place at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The document was signed by Tatiana Polinko, Chairman of the Bank's Management Board, and Sergey Kropachev, Vice Governor of St. Petersburg.
The agreement will become a starting point for the development and expansion of strategic cooperation, the main purpose of which is to ensure sustainable, reliable and affordable heat supply to the population, as well as improving the quality of life of citizens.
The partnership between the parties will create effective financial, operational and investment mechanisms that will contribute to the modernization of heat supply facilities, the introduction of innovative solutions, increased energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.
The cooperation provides for the improvement of financial cooperation mechanisms aimed at ensuring sustainable operation and implementation of investment programs. An important element is the organization and support of calculations related to the provision of heat supply services using modern banking and digital solutions. It also provides for the development and implementation of mechanisms that enhance payment discipline, transparency of financial flows, and effective cash management. For the renewal and technological development of heat supply systems, it is planned to develop leasing financing mechanisms for the purchase of equipment, specialized machinery and technological solutions.
"Heat and water in the homes of St. Petersburg residents is not an abstract task, it is an infrastructure that needs to be financed annually and systematically. The main goal of our partnership is to expand long—term financial support for the modernization of heat supply facilities, increase the energy efficiency of urban infrastructure and introduce innovative solutions in the utility sector. For the Bank, this is a logical continuation of cooperation with the city, as we are already an active financial partner of the St. Petersburg fuel and energy complex," commented Tatiana Polinko.
"Reliable heat supply is one of the key foundations of a comfortable life in a megalopolis. The agreement signed with Bank ROSSIYA sets new standards for cooperation and lays the foundation for effective work in the future," said Sergey Kropachev.
A separate area of work is information interaction. It is planned to hold consultations, exchange information and develop joint solutions on attracting investments and improving business efficiency.
For effective coordination of cooperation between Bank ROSSIYA and the Government of St. Petersburg, it is planned to form working groups, as well as develop plans for the implementation of the activities provided for in the agreement.
On the same day, St. Petersburg and Bank ROSSIYA signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of financial culture on the sidelines of SPIEF 2026. As part of the cooperation, joint events will be held, including financial literacy days and educational campaigns.
