Sobyanin spoke about the program of the Times and Epochs festival
The Times and Epochs Festival will be held in Moscow from June 10 to 14 and will become part of the large-scale Summer in Moscow project, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.
According to him, the festival's events will be held at more than 30 venues — in the center and in 27 district locations. The flagships will be the Mitino landscape Park, the Moskino Film Park, as well as the Raduga and Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo parks. "There will be reconstructions dedicated to the Patriotic War of 1812, the era of Ancient Russia of the 9th–13th centuries, the First World War and the urban street theaters of the early 20th century," the mayor wrote in his channel in Maks.
In total, the festival program includes a dozen and a half large-scale battle reenactments, more than 1,100 hours of master classes, exhibitions, theatrical performances and historical productions.
Sobyanin drew attention to the fact that this year's festival focuses "not only on military history, but also on the country's cultural heritage — Russian literature, theater, music and dance."
At the end of August, the Russian Field Slavic Art Festival will be held on Poklonnaya Gora in Moscow, the corresponding decree was previously signed by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. This event is dedicated to the history and folk art in Russia.
It is expected that this year about 2 thousand people will take part in the festival, and at least 150 thousand will be its guests. There will be several themed festival venues in total. The ceremonial part will be held on the main stage: artists, choral and dance groups will perform in front of the guests.
The "Area of the Regions" location will feature works by craftsmen from different regions of the country. In the Fashion Row, designers will show their collections of Russian and ethnic costumes, at the fair those who wish will be able to purchase their favorite products, and at the Sytny Dvor and National Cuisine venues they will be offered to try regional products.
