The forest restoration plan has already been half completed in Transbaikalia

Since the beginning of 2026, more than 2 million coniferous seedlings have been planted in Transbaikalia as part of the forest restoration program. The plan has already been completed by 51%.

The work is carried out by specialists of the KGSAU Zabaikalleskhoz. The press service of the regional Ministry of Forestry of ChitaMedia news agency said that another 2 million seedlings will be planted before the reforestation season ends.

Reforestation and reforestation in the forest fund of Transbaikalia is carried out within the framework of the national project "Ecological Well-being".

Earlier it was reported that the Chitinsky Bor Nature Park in Transbaikalia will be transformed into a specially protected natural area. The transformation was made possible thanks to the help of local residents. In less than one year, they raised funds for this project.
